See the largest population of bald eagles in the continental United States on the Skagit River Bald Eagle Scenic Float Trip in Washington
Visit the winter feeding ground for over 500 bald eagles that come from Vancouver Island and British Columbia to feast on spawning salmon and enjoy the relatively warm weather of the Skagit Valley.
The lower section of the Skagit River is very calm and the tour is peaceful and relaxing. With hot chocolate served on board in the comfort of the rafts, you'll quietly drift by eagles perching in riverside cottonwood trees or soaring overhead with their magnificent seven-foot wingspan. As you continue down the river and pass into the Bald Eagle Nature Preserve, it's hard to imagine these American icons were once nearly extinct when you see several birds all on one tree!
You'll be in awe at the close-up views you'll get, so bring your cameras and binoculars for photographs of a lifetime!
11:00 am daily (Early December to March)
